PRAI Board Meeting Minutes 12-10-08
Board members Bill Paschall, Toby Newlin, Gail Finnegan, Megan Klein and Nancy Platt were present. Also present were homeowners Kim Richards, Ken Klein, Jim Hinton, Sue Bennett and Gary Scharrer.
The minutes of the previous board meeting were approved.
The treasurer’s report was reviewed and approved.
A transfer fee was received from Mays. Mike Natinsky was paid $205 for his purchase of RoundUp on sale for use along subdivision roads. Jim Hinton was reimbursed fully for the money he spent on the boat ramp extension. The extension cost more than was budgeted. Money to cover the overrun was collected in donations from the Paleface community and this was passed along to Jim by the board.
HOA property taxes will total $212 for the 2008 year, combining both Travis and Burnet County taxes.
Trailers at both 23510 Oscar Road and 23907 Tres Coronas have been moved and are no longer visible.
At the request of the board Ken Thoresen placed cement parking stops at the edge of the cement pad to prevent cars from hitting the masonry wall and falling into drop off at the bar ditch.
Galvanized steel poles left at the boat ramp have been stored at Gary Jenkins’ house.
Ken Thoresen checked out the dying agaves at the entrance and found them to be sickened by some type of insect. He treated them with insecticide but suggested the board wait until Spring to replace them.
The annual meeting minutes have been revised and revisions sent to the board for approval.
Megan will send a note to the membership reminding them of the approaching deadline for submitting HOA dues payments.
Sale of Property to the West
It was rumored that the property immediately to the West of the subdivision had been sold to a developer. This sale did not, in fact, go through; however, it brought to light the fact that the subdivision may not own the property on which the western most fencing and landscaping at the entry sits. Another concern was the possible right of that property owner to access the boat ramp through the gate at the end of Successor. Bill will investigate both of these issues.
The board received a complaint that the owners at 1516 Likeness were living in a guest house on their lot. The board contacted the owner and was told the report was mistaken and they were not living on their lot.
The board received a complaint about the pile of rocks at the top of the driveway at 23617 Indian Divide Cove. When contacted, the owner said he would move the rocks. According to the ACC, the wall recently constructed at the top of the driveway at 23617 Indian Divide Cove extends onto the next lot, and they have denied the new construction application. The ACC contacted the adjacent lot owners and told them the ACC believes there has been an incursion onto their property.
History of Paleface Ranch
Gary Scharrer has written down the history of the Paleface Ranch subdivision and asked that it be posted in the website to preserve history for the future. Megan will post.
Road Maintenance Committee
Steve Hooge is too busy to chair this committee. David Watford and Jim Brown were contacted to see if they would serve on the committee, or knew anyone who might, without success. Megan will check with Gary Jenkins to see if he is willing to lead.
Boat Ramp Improvement Committee
Robert Kathman has some fill if the LCRA will allow us to use it. Last time the subject of using fill to increase the boat ramp area was brought up it was dismissed because there was concern the heavy trucks hauling fill would damage the roads.
The next meeting will be held February 18, 2009 at 7PM at Gail and Dick Finnegan’s home at 1512 Likeness Road.
